Quality
Quality & production: how every tag is made and checked
Tags are produced with an ISO 9001-certified production partner in Jiangsu; Antenza handles specification, sample testing, quality control and export. Here is the full process and what is checked at each step.
Six steps from design to shipment
The two highlighted steps run on every order: 100% inline electrical testing and batch RF characterisation.
- 01 Design & specification
- 02 Chip bonding
- 03 Converting
- 04 100% inline electrical test
- 05 Batch RF characterisation
- 06 Packing & labelling
- 01
Design & specification
Antenna footprint, chip and material stack are fixed from your surface, read distance and reader.
Checked: spec sheet, bill of materials, encoding spec

- 02
Chip bonding
The UHF or HF chip is flip-chip bonded to the antenna to make the inlay.
Checked: bonding set-up and first-article approval
Production partner
- 03
Converting
Inlays are converted into dry inlays, wet inlays, paper labels or on-metal labels, and printed if required.
Checked: dimensions, pitch, roll direction, print
Production partner
- 04
100% inline electrical test
Every inlay is tested inline; failures are marked or removed as agreed in your order.
Checked: every inlay

- 05
Batch RF characterisation
RF performance is measured on samples from each batch and compared with the approved sample.
Checked: samples from every batch

- 06
Packing & labelling
Packed to the agreed core size, quantity per roll, carton labels and documents, then shipped.
Checked: counts, labels, packing list

Documents you can request
Documents are supplied per order. Before you order, we confirm in writing which of them are available for your construction.
-
Product specification sheet
Antenna size, chip, material stack, format and packing.
-
Chip vendor datasheet
Sensitivity, memory and protocol from the official vendor document.
-
Batch test summary
Summary of the inline electrical test and RF sample results for your batch.
-
ISO 9001 certificate of the production partner
The partner’s quality-management certificate; an NDA may be required.
-
RoHS / REACH declarations
For the exact materials in your order: chip, antenna, face stock, adhesive.
-
Packing list & labelling spec
Quantity per roll, roll direction, carton labels and shipping documents.
Samples and the sampling plan
Samples before bulk is where quality control starts.
- 1
Engineering samples
Samples of the shortlisted designs, to compare on your items, readers and printers.
- 2
Approved sample
Once a design is chosen, the spec sheet and an approved (golden) sample are signed off as the reference for production.
- 3
First-batch check
The first production batch is checked against the approved sample before regular supply starts.
- 4
Batch sampling
Samples from every batch are RF-tested. Acceptance sampling to AQL levels (for example ISO 2859-1) can be agreed in the order. How to test tags before a bulk order
